Take-Two Views L.A. Noire As "Powerful New Franchise"

by Phil Kollar on May 25, 2011 at 11:30 AM

We've already heard that L.A. Noire is shattering sales records in the U.K., but just in case you were concerned about its success and the potential for future sequels, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is apparently quite pleased with the new IP.

Speaking during an earnings call yesterday, Zelnick stated that L.A. Noire had an "extraordinary" and "very successful release." Going one step further, Zelnick strongly suggested that Take-Two has plans for future games and content related to L.A. Noire:

"Suffice it to say, we do see this [L.A. Noire] as a powerful new franchise for our company."

Zelnick said that as far as Rockstar working with third-party developers like they did with Team Bondi, they will "take that on a case-by-case basis." Would you like to see Team Bondi return to develop an L.A. Noire sequel? Do you want L.A. Noire to get sequels at all?
