New MMO On The Way From Square Enix
Square Enix is determined to continue being a major player in the MMO market, which is why the company will launch a new massively multiplayer title in addition to the beleaguered Final Fantasy XIV.
During a recent earnings briefing, CEO Yoichi Wada explained that Square Enix eventually hopes to have several large-scale MMOs running in order to establish a steady flow of income. Of course, major titles in this genre also take an enormous amount of money to develop, so investing heavily in MMOs could be a gamble for Square Enix.
Unfortunately, Wada did not disclose any further details about the new title, but we may hear more at E3 or the Tokyo Game Show this fall.
