The lights are on
Take-Two recently unveiled the results of its 2011 fiscal year. Among all of the percentages and registered trademarks was some good news and some not-so-good news. On the good side of things, key Rockstar talent is sticking around. On the other hand, Spec: Ops: The Line is getting pushed way back.According to Take-Two's calendar of upcoming releases (BioShock Infinite is still on track for 2012, by the way), the upcoming Spec Ops title has been delayed to the first half of fiscal year 2013. That means that it will release somewhere between April and September of calendar year 2012.In other words, Spec Ops: The Line is still at least a year away. While delays are nothing new, remember that the game had beta testing going on last fall (which stopped in November). It's possible that feedback from that experience was not to Take-Two's liking. We could be in for a major retooling the next time Spec Ops surfaces.

In all honesty this game is going up against some pretty tough competition in the military shooter market. Maybe moving it away from can give them the chance to polish the ever loving crap out of the game. Still, can't really say this was on my radar.
the game better be worth it
GREAT. It's not like I've had it on pre-order since July of last year.
i hope the wait that the game will be good.
Man, I was looking forward to Spec Ops. Hopefully this is a delay that makes the game a polished product when it is released.
The beta was alright. Nothing too special here...
Grrrr I've been waiting so long to try this out! As long as it makes the game better I guess...
Spec Ops had beta testing last fall...? I do not recall that at all.
There was a beta? For what system?
lmao...
