Ken Levine On BioShock Infinite, BioShock 2, Current Favorite Games, And More
Last week when I was off checking out an insanely impressive new BioShock Infinite demo, I was lucky enough to have some time to talk to Ken Levine, the co-founder of developer Irrational Games and one of the main creative forces behind the BioShock franchise.
We've split my lengthy conversation with Ken into two videos. In the first, we focus on the new BioShock Infinite demo I had just watched, which you can read all about right here. Ken goes into detail about tears, skylines, and other new features that were highlighted in the demo.
In the second part of my interview, I ask Ken for his feelings on BioShock 2, the return to Rapture that his studio did not work on directly. We discuss the studio culture at Irrational, and I also get into some wider industry topics, including what games Ken has been playing and what he thinks of the recent PSN problems.
Also, before anyone mentions it, please forgive the amateur camera work. Resident lazy video producer Ben Hanson wasn't along for this trip, so I had to handle camera stuff all on my own for the first time ever. This also explains why I keep glancing directly at the camera -- I was trying to make sure it was still, you know, recording. So ignore that stuff and enjoy the good discussion!
