[Update]: Plants Vs. Zombies, Chuzzle Get Amazon Exclusivity

by Adam Biessener on May 17, 2011 at 04:30 AM

[Update]: PopCap's release of Chuzzle today and Plants vs. Zombies later this month will enjoy a two-week exclusive window at Amazon's Appstore.

The store has drawn criticism from the IGDA for its pricing practices, and it'll be interesting to see if this new deal draws any more of the organization's ire.

[Original Story]: PopCap is embracing Android at last, bringing two of its games to the platform via Amazon's Appstore. If you're paying attention and grab them on the first day they're available, you can get Plants vs. Zombies and Chuzzle on your phone for free.

Chuzzle will go up tomorrow (May 17), and will be joined by Plants vs. Zombies later this month. Free on day one, each will go up to $2.99 thereafter.

I can take or leave Chuzzle (well, take if it's free), but this is going to be the fourth time I've bought Plants vs. Zombies. I just know I'm going to forget, pony up the three bucks, and be thankful for the opportunity. I'm ridiculous.
