The lights are on
Some developers see DLC as an opportunity to make some extra cash off their games. Not CD Projekt. Today the developer announced that any and all DLC for The Witcher 2 will be available to players free of charge.
Word of the decision came from a developer Q&A with CD Projekt hosted on Gamestop's Facebook page. "Let me announce that all our DLCs will be FREE. All of them. If anything will be for purchase, those will be expansion packs." The developer went on to say that pre-order exclusives aren't part of the deal.
The first free DLC pack is entitled Troll Trouble, and will be available when the game launches tomorrow.

WOW I've played through the prologue and I'm hooked. I'm excited by the story and characters like the first time I played mass effect 1. The difficulty level is quite high and punishing which is welcomed as well.
I am suddenly interested in these developers getting my moneys.
Wonderful tidbit of info. Glad I've purchased on day one to support the team.
Anything free sounds good to me!!!!
Hmmm...I was always sort of interested in getting The Witcher 2, never gave any serious thought to taking the plunge though. The promise of free DLC's however might just be the thing that seals it for me. I'll wait for GI's review though just to be safe.
This game rocks. More of it for free, that's just X-mas in May right there.
Troll Troubles, man. They be hacking on us.
