Red Faction: Armageddon Soundtrack Incoming

by Jeff Cork on May 10, 2011 at 04:18 AM

Wrecking the tunnels under the surface of Mars just wouldn't have been the same without a snazzy soundtrack. At least, that's what THQ and Volition are leading us to believe with the announcement of a soundtrack release for the upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon. The game's music was composed by Brian Reitzell, who's previous work includes 30 Days of Night, Stranger than Fiction, and Friday Night Lights.

"Brian intended for this to be a 'record' in the truest sense — to be its own standalone experience start-to-finish," said Stephen Hodde, Red Faction: Armageddon's lead audio designer. "He's spent a lot of time arranging these compositions so that the record presents the game's content, but also follows its own emotional arc."

The official soundtrack will be available at retail and through digital download channels such as Amazon, iTunes, and Sumthing Else Music Works on May 31.
