Heavenly Sword Sequel at E3?
Sony and developer of the original Heavenly Sword, Ninja Theory, had a falling out and broke up their relationship, but according to a U.K. magazine, the franchise may live on.
The new issue of PlayGamer reportedly contains info about Heavenly Sword 2, and the mag says that more details will come at E3. If this report is true, the game will be an open-world title set 10 years after the original. Players will have to earn the right to wield the sword after mastering different martial arts disciplines.
If this rumor is true and the game is in the works, it'll be interesting to see if original developer Ninja Theory is at the helm. It is currently working on the Devil May Cry reboot for Capcom, and it is unknown if it or Sony owns the Heavenly Sword IP.
