Micro-Transaction-based Call of Duty Game for China: Is This It?
Last week there was talk of a big COD announcement, and today Activision released an earnings statement that contained a new Call of Duty. Only this isn't the COD you were expecting.
The release talks about some of the big things the publisher/developer has in store for everyone, and apart from "new content" for the StarCraft, World of Warcraft, and Diablo franchises, it lists "robust investment in forthcoming Call of Duty titles, including a micro-transaction game for China." No more info on the game has been announced, and these are the same scant details about the title when Activision originally announced the project earlier this year.
Is this the rumored game that we all heard about last week? Or is that still coming? You'd think that if this was the game all along, the company wouldn't bury it in an earnings release.
