Video Game Grants Now Offered By NEA

by Tim Turi on May 06, 2011 at 07:22 AM

The National Endowment for the Arts traditionally supplied monetary aid to select artistic projects in music, film, dance, education, literature, etc. A recent expansion of the agency now rolls video game grants into the philanthropic fold.

You can thank the NEA’s growing Arts on Radio and Television category for games’ new eligibility for grants. Mobile, digital, and traditional console games will all be considered for potential grants ranging from $10,000 to $200,000.

Interested in raking in some dough for a gaming project of your own? You’ve go until September 1 to submit your application to the NEA site.
