The lights are on
Ubisoft has posted an unusual facebook page that teases the next entry in their blockbuster franchise.
After numerous rumors and leaked details went unconfirmed by Ubisoft last week, the publisher has officially launched a teaser campaign for the upcoming Assassin's Creed game. You can check out the Assassin's Creed teaser if you have an active facebook account.
The site reveals a flickering image that is mostly clouded over, though the visible part of the picture shows both a fortress and the hand of someone holding the familiar hidden blade mechanism.
The site also has an activity monitor that may be tied to the number of people who are looking at or who have looked at the page. The teaser encourages viewers to: "Share & Like to spread the word for an exclusive sneak peek at the coming game reveal." There's also an option to send messages by email, Twitter, or facebook to alert friends to the page's existence.
Are you excited to see more about the next installment of Assassin's Creed?
Update (1:00 PM CST): Another image has just appeared. This Assassin's garb looks more like Altaïr's outfit from the first Assassin's Creed to us. What do you think?
Update (4:10 PM CST): The latest phase of the AC tease shows what appears to be a distinctive building of some sort. Any idea where that might be?
Update (8:45 PM CST): An early phase in the reveal shows us a hand wrapped in white with a hidden blade. Guesses?
