Charity Gaming Marathon Live On Ustream Today

by Dan Ryckert on Apr 30, 2011 at 07:08 AM

UPDATE: The marathon is live now, and they're giving out plenty of prizes as they hit specific donation levels. If you're looking for something to watch on a lazy Saturday, you can check out the streams here. Right now they're working on Mortal Kombat's challenge tower, but they've been taking requests for games throughout the marathon. It should be running until 6pm PST/9pm EST if you're interested in checking it out.

We're always fans of gamers pitching in for a good cause, and the guys from the Underdeveloped Characters podcast are doing just that. Starting next Friday at 9pm EST, they'll be playing a variety of games to benefit the Children's Miracle Network and the Red Cross relief effort for Japan.

Currently on deck for the marathon is Portal 2 (co-op), Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (multiplayer), Mortal Kombat, Gears of War, and Rock Band. They're encouraging viewers to join in on the fun, and you can find Gamertag information (as well as other info regarding the marathon) here. They have plenty of sponsors, and they'll be giving away a ton of games. Be sure to check out their stream if you get a chance next weekend.
