UPDATE: Check Out Monino, The Most Unique iPhone Game We've Ever Seen

Some people like to collect things that are going out of production, as there's a certain appeal to owning something that you know is never going to be available again. If you're one of those types, you might want to download Monino on the iOS App Store ASAP. Something tells us it won't be around very long.

Here's the official description of the game:

The protagonist of this game named Monino, in the story of this game, Monino's brother was captured by a monster named Bowler, he is on the road to Bowler's castle to rescue his brother, a lot of monsters in different levels are waiting for him, would you like to join Monino's rescue action? Go!

If you want to collect mushrooms, stomp turtles, and defeat the evil Bowler on your iPhone, all it takes is 99 cents. It might be worth it just for the laughs.

UPDATE: As expected, Monino already looks to have been taken down from the App Store.

  • LOL can't wait for the lawsuit

  • If I had an iPhone, I would so get this. Lets count the seconds until this is taken down by Nintendo.
  • It's already gone, I just checked the app store

  • It's getting tons of praise on the App Store.

  • It's not available in US stores... apparently.

  • Says "item is temporarly disables. Try again later".

  • ARE WE SERIOUS????!!?!?And then they want us to take the app store and indie games seriously -.-'
  • Aw... "This item not available in the U.S. store." I so wanted to troll the reviews of this thing. I'm sure by now the publishers of this thing are in a shallow grave somewhere in Antarctica, courtesy of Miyamoto-san.
  • Does the app store not check for these things? I think I will be releasing a game called Sirtet soon then. It will be like Tetris, just slightly different.
  • UPDATE: already gone

  • Wow, Its already been Taken off the app store. Quick response FTW.

  • Wow, 2 minutes! I think Apple may have just won a world record. Do we now have to refer to Apple as "World Record Holding Company Apple", Dan?
  • You know what they say, imitation is the sincerest form of PLAGIARISM!!!

  • I like how they didn't even try to hide that it's a Mario rip-off! Go Nintendo!

  • Just tried.. its already down lol

  • They forgot to cite their work...Rookie mistake
  • DAMIIT ! I was just a little bit too late to get it.

  • awwww. too bad its gone. i would have liked to see how it stacks up.

  • I hate it when people take others ideas and just change a couple of things just to make a quick buck.
  • That game looks a lot like Mario Bros.! Has anyone else noticed this?!?!?! Maybe I'm trolling?
