Fruit Ninja To Chop It Up With Kinect

Halfbrick's iPhone and iPad sensation has been tearing up the Apple App Store, and now it appears the simplistic casual game is headed to the Xbox 360 and its Kinect motion control peripheral.

The gaming website Siliconera spotted the game as a entry on the Korean Game Ratings Board website. The Game Ratings Board is essentially the Korean version of the ESRB.

The game is simple, but surprisingly addictive. Basically, you chop up flying fruit. To get an idea of what you might expect, here's a trailer for the iPad version of the game.

  • Um....I hope its a down loadable arcade game. Cant wait to "accidentally" chop my girlfriend in the throat. HA.
  • This is good news, then.

To be honest I was a little worried that they'd just crank out the Kinect and then not do anything with it.

Continued 3rd party support is one thing the Eyetoy didn't have, so they'll have a leg-up there at least.

  • SO EXCITED!!!! I would totally buy this.

  • I hope this works well, I'm still not sold on the Kinect and it will take a lot more than slicing fruit to get me into HD motion gaming, especially since I can do that on the Wii. But it is a step in the right direction.
  • FINALLY... a reason to buy a kinect

  • looks pretty fun

  • I'd play it if they were throwing samurai into the air, or other ninjas...
  • That looks like it's more fun on the iPad and iPhone than it would be on the Kinect...we'll see i guess lol

  • WHAT!?! Ok, this will be the only game worth buying for Kinect. Which is why by the end if this week I will now be buying a Kinect, because I just absolutelu MUST PLAY THIS ON MY TV AUBDFOANBFJABFBLLLLALAAAAARRRGRRG

  • Game looks pretty fun, though I'd have a hard time actually paying for it. I can pretend to cut stuff with my hands without buying a game.

  • this will be AWESOME

  • You forgot to mention that that game is also available on the WP7

I just got the last achievement a few days ago

  • epic

  • Sweet, fruit ninja is awesome.  But I feel like it would pretty difficult to play on kinect compared to and ipad.

  • I have this for my Droid Incredible, therefor, I don't really think I want to potentially PAY for it when I have it for free on my phone.

  • Reminds me of Wii Sports Resort's swordplay with the slicing of objects, with a few fruit.

I would buy, but I have other matters to attend to; of the upmost importance too!

  • lol i would love to see videos of people falling while they try to use a leg as a third blade

  • yay!

  • Wouldn't move be better for this? I mean, it's closer to an actual sword than kinect.
