You Demanded It America: Peyton Hillis Becomes Madden 12 Cover Star
Cleveland Brows' running back Peyton Hillis has won the Madden NFL 12's fan voting contest and become the cover star of the game.
In a contest where one million votes were cast in the final between Hillis and Eagles' QB Michael Vick (and 13 million cast overall), Hillis came away with the top honors by garnering 66 percent of the vote.
Although Vick lost out on the chance to appear on the franchise's cover twice (he first appeared on Madden 2004, when he broke his leg in the pre-season), he wasn't disappointed. "My fans, they stuck in there," Vick told ESPN. "I made it this far and that’s a plus for me."
Hillis said he was excited, and didn't fear the Madden curse that has afflicted some previous cover stars, saying, "I can't wait to prove people wrong."
