Reek Like An Orc With Line Of RPG-themed Scents

by Jeff Cork on Apr 23, 2011 at 05:29 AM

Chances are, when you think of the word "Orc," a few words spring to mind. Perhaps "green" or "drool." Maybe "disgusting" or "feral." Possible even "horrible D&D nerd stuff." At any rate, most people wouldn't associate the creatures with "fragrance." Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is clearly not run by typical people. The company has released a line of RPG-themed scents, including one inspired by Orcs. Honestly.

The line includes a variety of fragrances spread across familiar races, classes, and alignments. For example, Dwarf evokes smells of "Iron filings and chips of stone, Styrian Golding hops, and soot-covered leather." Mage contains "gurjum balsam, Sumatran dragon's blood resin, olibanum, galangal, oleo gum resin, and frankincense." My personal favorite is evil, which combines the essences of "smouldering opium tar, tobacco absolute, green tea, black plum, kush, ambergris accord, ambrette seed, and costus root."

Bottles will set you back about $17.50 for 5 ml. Considering that you'll be able to smell like a freaking Orc, that sounds like a ridiculously small price to pay. Then again, I have serious issues with money management.
