Mysterious Halo Movie Pics Appear Online

It's not clear what they're for, but a batch of clearly Halo-related pictures has popped up on Machinima.com's Facebook page. Talk of a Halo movie has floated around for a long time, and IMDB currently has it listed as a 2012 release. However, we're inclined to believe this might be for a web video or commercial because of Machinima.com's involvement. We'll update as more information becomes available.

UPDATE: We've been contacted by someone associated with the production, and he says it's a fan film called Operation Chastity. He also linked us to a behind-the-scenes video, which you can see below the pictures.

looks too low budget to be a legit halo movie. i mean since halo is owned by microsoft i doubt it would look that cheap. i mean the armor and warthog look cheaply made.

Why are they guarding those train tracks so close? I don't remember any trains in Halo. Maybe there's trains in some upcoming DLC.

This looks wicked cheap. It's probably another live action trailer for a new Halo title...oh god. not another Halo...I hope they just leave it at Reach, they are gonna kill the series, especially since Bungie won't be working on it.

Halo would be a decent action-packed movie if it had a good director. From the looks of these picks though, it seems to be coming a long badly lol. Let's just hope this isn't a Halo movie.

While this obviously isn't meant to be a big Box Office release, I think the armor, guns, and warthog look pretty cool. Perhaps it's because I'm looking through the lens of reality and not comparing this to a Michael Bay production? Seriously, I'd like to get my hands on that gear and warthog...
