Pokémon Global Link Lets You Invade Your Critters' Dreams

by Tim Turi on Apr 11, 2011 at 07:56 AM

In just a few short days your C-Gear, the device in Pokémon White & Black which allows you to connect wirelessly with friends, will gain a new feature. Pokémon Global Link launches April 13 and introduces several new features – one of which is an enhanced battle mode, and the other is a bizarre dream land that would get Freddy Krueger excited.

After you sign up for the Pokémon Trainer Club account you’ll be able to access the Pokémon Global Link website. After that, you’ll gain access to the Pokémon Dream World. Within you can put your Pokémon to bed, enter their dreams, meet new Pokémon friends not found in Pokémon White/Black, and even harvest berries in a dream garden. The new Pokémon friends and berries can, of course, be extracted from the otherworldly mind of your sleeping Pokémon and loaded into your copy of Pokémon White or Black. Weird.

The other, more predictable feature is the Global Battle Union. You’ll be able to check weekly battle rankings and ratings. New battle features will also be integrated, but no specifics have been revealed yet.

Exciting news if your time in the Unova region is growing old.
