I don't know if this latest World of Warcraft achievement is better attributed to Cataclysm's accelerated leveling or a certain user's iron will. Someone has (finally) reached level 85 without killing or questing, but by simply resource gathering.

Note: most level 85's gear isn't held together with tape

Meet Everbloom, a level 85 Night Elf Druid from the Feathermoon server. The official World of Warcraft magazine trumpeted the resourceful gatherer's accomplishment early today via a congratulatory tweet. How much you wanna bet more than a few people are reading this and groaning as they recall a Night Elf wearing her starting newbie armor snagged their Pyrite vein?

Anyway... nice work?

my question is why? other than to simply say i'm the first to do this. I don't see how anyone could have the will power to simply go around gathering.

I didn't know you got experience from gathering! I played pre-Cataclysm and barely played post-RotLK and I don't remember ever getting XP by gathering =/
