Microsoft Wants Your Help Setting A World Record

by Dan Ryckert on Apr 07, 2011 at 12:28 PM

Apparently Microsoft was inspired by our heroic record-breaking Super Smash Bros. marathon, because they've announced they're giving Live members the chance to help set a record of their own. On April 23rd at 10am CST, they're attempting to set the "largest online 100m sprint" record utilizing Kinect Sports.

Microsoft fails to mention in their press release if there is even a previous record holder, but my keen journalistic investigation methods (a.k.a. the ability to perform a search on the Guinness site) haven't uncovered any evidence of one. Everyone that participates will receive a free Avatar t-shirt, but they'll all be winners just because they don't have to share a world record with Tim Turi. I envy them.
