[UPDATE]: GI reader revistinha1 managed to dig up a link to the original Deviantart post of the clever mockup, which we missed during our search of the social network site yesterday.
Deviantart user boup0quod is the talented artist responsible for the image, which is just one of many professional-looking posters he has done for movies and video games.

[ORIGINAL STORY]: A provocative new image has popped up on the Internet, and rumors are already claiming that it's from Assassin's Creed III. However, critics are already calling the shot a fake. So which is it? You be the judge...
VGHQ posted the image, which the site says was sent to them by a tipster. Readers in the post's comments section claim that it's a fake taken from Deviantart, but it's an exciting possibility nonetheless. Here's the full image:
What do you think? Could it be legit, or is it just the wishful thinking of a talented fan?

Whether it's real or not, I don't think Egypt would have enough of the right kind of architecture (you think spread-out pyramids and one-floor-at-a time tombs would work?). I think either this or Victorian England would be excellent. England's got Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, while Paris has the Pantheon and stuff.

assassins creed 3 is all desmond no animus or ancestors thats the facts the developers have been planning it this way since the beginning
Honestly, if its a female main character, I doubt I'd play it. Not sexist or anything, but usually female characters can't offer the same power in such stories as this than male characters do for me. That and the AC series has been built on two ancestors that look exactly like Desmond, a sudden switch to a female character would be a huge shift.
sad it is not AC III but then again they dont want to end the game on that note... they should end on the present day development of the Brotherhood

would've been cool but i hope that they make it just about desmond because i dont see why he would need to go into the animus again seeing that he has all of ezio's skills. i hope its in a modern city. would be pretty awesome
