EA Rebounding With New Basketball Sim For 2012
The demo for EA Sports' NBA Elite 11 was so disastrous that the company ended up canning the project altogether, but that doesn't mean Electronic Arts is walking away from the sport. Today the company announced that EA Tiburon is working on a new basketball title for Fall 2012.
EA Sports president Peter Moore expressed his confidence in the project in a statement. "We have top talent on the game, and we're giving the new development team time to deliver a superior experience. We're making great strides and looking forward to launching a new game next year."
We're all for EA taking extra time to create a better game, and frankly after the fiasco with NBA Elite 11, it will take more than minor improvements to win back fans -- especially considering the excellent installment of the NBA 2K series that Visual Concepts put out last year.
