Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Wants To Star In A Black Ops Movie

by Phil Kollar on Apr 05, 2011 at 02:55 PM

I know that both wrestling and Call of Duty have millions of fans, but could these two (questionably) great tastes go great together? Popular wrestler and actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson seems to think so.

In an interview with MTV (via Geek Tyrant), Johnson revealed that his dream video-game-to-film project is a movie based on Call of Duty: Black Ops. "That'd be bad ass," Johnson said. "Let's make it happen. Let's do it."

The image above comes from Johnson's previous role in a movie based on a game, Doom, which was also addressed in the interview. Johnson said that Doom "didn't work out the way we wanted it to creatively" but that he's still willing to do another game adaptation "if the right one came along."

With the way Activision seems happy with pushing out Call of Duty-branded games, I wouldn't be surprised to see a movie far behind. Do you think it could be "the right one" for the Rock?
