DragonForce To Debut On Rock Band Next Week

DragonForce’s notoriously difficult “Through the Fire and Flames” will hit the Rock Band network next week. The track was previously released for Guitar Hero and proved to test the grit of even seasoned players.

Two DragonForce tracks will be joined by the works of Jefferson Airplane, Santana, and Blood, Sweat & Tears. Check out the details below.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 March 29:

Days of Peace Pack 01

  • Jefferson Airplane – “Somebody  to Love”
  • Blood, Sweat & Tears – “Spinning Wheel”
  • Santana – “Black Magic Woman”

Singles

  • DragonForce – “Through the Fire and Flames”
  • DragonForce – “Operation Ground and Pound”

As always, the tracks are master recordings and are available for $1.99/160 Microsoft Points/200 Wii Points per song or $5.49/440 Microsoft Points/550 Wii Points for the “Days of Peace Pack.” “Black Magic Woman” and “Through the Fire and Flames” are also elibible for the Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades, which will cost you $0.99 per track.

Comments
  • Bout *** time.

  • Weewheeew! On that note, I implore Activision to donate any exclusivity deals they may have left over from the now defunct GH series over to the superior RB group :D
  • Even though Rockband is the harder of the two franchises I bet the Dragonforce songs are actually easier on rockband. The toughest part of Through the Fire and Flames on Guitar Hero 3 was the intro and that will be moved over to keyboards on Rockband like it should be.
  • (Well, they had a good line up for a while, now it's spoiled by adding Dragonf***ktards.) - Ignorant post by slightly angry and tired individual.

Edit: sorry to have offended so many diehard Dragonforce fans, my comment has no grounds and was simply opinion, didn't even expect anyone to respond. It just pisses me off that they never add good metal songs to these games.

    Examples: Nightrage
    Insomnium
    Solerrain
    Across the Sun
    Sylosis

If any of those bands were in the game I would hella hit it up. Sorry for offending so many of you. But I do have one more disagreement to make, Dragonforce is NOT one of the better power metal bands out there, listen to bands like Almah, and Blind guardian, you'll see what I mean.
  • Run for your lives!!!! The hardest song ever is coming!!!!
  • A bit of a screw up Meagan. These are official DLC, not part of Rock Band Network.

Anyways, how about that Through the Fire and Flames on PRO FREAKIN GUITAR! AND KEYS! AND HARMONIES! Man this track will be pretty epic to play even if you don't like it.

  • Through the fire and flames will kick our @$$e$$ once again....

  • DragonForce is alright, but Black Magic Woman is the track I'm pumped about. Terrific song.

  • Mehhh they're not that great...they even said that they can't even play though the fire and flames outside of the studio.
  • Aww ***! I'm finally getting back into Rock Band on Expert, and it's always nice to bring back old Guitar Hero tracks.

  • I don't really like music games, but I love Dragonforce!!  hopefully one of my friends who owns this game will pick it up so it can destroy me

  • it reads wrong but most know theres no Pro Guitar yet on RBN.

that said Holy ***! TTFaF on Pro Guitar!

  • I remember watching them live trying to play their own song, talk about train wreck.
  • kewl

  • they changed the lead singer. dragonforce is not the same

  • Don't play it, but sounds cool!

  • nice

  • Through the fire and the flames we... fail out!  Err, yeah.  Good show though.  And stuff.

  • If there only had to be two DragonForce songs I'm glad these are the ones they picked. Both of those were so much fun on Guitar Hero 3. Its going to be absurdly impossible on Rock Band though because the leeway to hit notes is so incredibly tiny, especially in Rock Band 3.

  • "Elibible" haha!
