The lights are on
Last weekend, PopCap discounted several of its iOS games and donated all of the revenue, totaling over $200,000, to the Red Cross.
iPhone versions of games like Bejeweled, Bookworm, Chuzzle, Peggle, and Plants vs. Zombies were reduced to $0.99, while the iPad editions dropped to $1.99.
“We recently opened an office in Tokyo, and while our Japan-based employees are safe and uninjured, we understand countless others in Japan need food, shelter, and medical attention,” said Ellen Marett, Senior Director of Workforce Culture at PopCap, in a statement. “Given that Plants vs. Zombies reached #1 on the iPhone and iPad sales charts in Japan, it seemed like the most appropriate game to feature in this fundraising campaign.”

More reason for me to love plants & zombies.
Very nicely done Pop-Cap. Hope some more companies follow suit.

It's seriously heart warming to see so many in the gaming industry step up and help our fellow man.
