Duke Nukem Forever Features Spanking
There's no way to put this delicately. Duke Nukem slaps women on their backsides in his new game.
In this month's Official Xbox Magazine, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford had a number of things to say about the game. One particular piece of information has made the rounds on the internet today.
Duke Nukem Forever features a Capture the Babe multiplayer mode, a spin on the traditional capture the flag mode that replaces the flag with the babe. OXM reports "...the 'Babe' will sometimes freak out while you’re carrying her (somewhat understandable we’d say) at which point you have to hit a button to gently give her a reassuring slap.”
Early reports today assumed this meant that Duke would be slapping the girls in their faces. However, Joystiq clarified with the PR firm Redner group that players would instead be slapping the captured babes on their butts.
Like Dead Space 2's recent ad campaign, controversy isn't necessarily bad for a game's sales. That said, where do you stand on this new bit of info about Duke Nukem Forever? Is the Capture the Babe mode an amusing idea made more funny by the ability to spank the girls you're carrying? Or does this cross a line for you?
