Nintendo Brings Art Software To Classrooms

by Annette Gonzalez on Mar 16, 2011 at 08:52 AM

Nintendo has announced a partnership with the National Art Education Association that will provide Nintendo DSi XL's and copies of Art Academy to classrooms at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Last month these tools were given to art educators participating in the program to incorporate the Art Academy software in classroom exercises.

Art Academy teaches lessons in color, shading and perspective, and also offers a Free Paint mode to exercise creativity. Lucky students will be able to bring their DS' out in class and not get in trouble.
