The lights are on
Last month we learned that Warner Bros. bloody return to Mortal Kombat’s roots was going to be banned in Australia. Despite Warner Bros. appeal to Australia’s rating boards, it looks like the game still won’t be hitting the land down under.
“We’re obviously extremely disappointed that the refused classification decision has been upheld by the Classification Review Board," said a Warner Bros. representative. "We want to thank the thousands of Mortal Kombat fans in Australia and around the world who have voiced their support during the appeal process."
Mortal Kombat is too hot for Australia, but do we have any Aussie readers who are planning on importing the game anyway?

Seriously, Australia. GIVE GAMES AN R18 RATING.
Reasons to NOT move to Australia: the king brown snake, the Sydney funnel web spider, irukandji jellyfish and the lack of a new MORTAL KOMBAT!... mate...
Those clowns need to stop trying to be so damned proper and conform to our American heathenistic ways. Join the infidels and fight Ala with us Australia!
Sucks for Australia...
Thank God that doesn't happen in the US.
Why is Duke Nukem being released down under then??? Makes no sense at all...
It makes no sense, they allow extreme violence in movies that are made in that country, but they go crazy over a little violence in video games. Retarded.
Hahahahaha. Finally, a country that agrees with me on the fact that that game is too violent.
The nanny state will not stop the imports!!!
