Mass Effect 2 Figures Hit Snag

by Matt Miller on Mar 07, 2011 at 08:32 AM

Shepard's crack team has run into some obstacles on their way to your toy collection, and it looks like some of the squad members won't be making it back from this one.

Joystiq reports that a deleted forum post over on the BioWare site offered some enlightening insight into the continually delayed Mass Effect 2 figures. The first series is now set for release in April. Reportedly, a quote from a BioWare rep stated: "Once we get the ME2 Action Figure shipped we will not be working with DC Direct again ... Their handling of this issue has been extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to fans."

Pretty harsh words. If the post to be taken seriously, it seems that fans will have a pretty limited scope of characters to look forward to out of the series. The initial run of characters includes Grunt, Shepard (default male), Tali, and Thane. It's too bad. We were hoping to get the whole crew, and then systematically blow them up whenever we made bad life choices.
