The lights are on
Angry Birds has been everywhere in recent months, popping up on Conan, birthday cakes, board games, plushies, and 30 million Android devices. If you've been too distracted by Facebook to notice, prepare to be subjected to its charms later this year. It's coming to Facebook, and this version features "completely new aspects to it that just haven't been experienced in any other platform," according to Rovio head Mikael Hed.
He also mentions that there will be collaborative elements to the Facebook version and that "the pigs will have a more prominent role." Considering all they really did in the original game was sit under precariously-built structures until a block fell on their heads, this could mean any number of things.
With 75 million downloads already under its belt, it won't be long before just about everyone you've ever met has played Angry Birds.

Anythings Better Then That Farmville S***T
Instead of "poke" you'll have the opportunity to "catapult friend into castle"
My only response to Angry Birds coming to Facebook is ZOMG THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.
So it's gunna be free right?
My head just exploded.
I tried a holiday free version and didn't think it was very good hopefully it's free on facebook so I can try the full version.
I see my bro play this game a lot. Looks like I don't have to wait to get my smartphone upgrade later this year with this game launching soon.
I only finally played this game today on a friend's iPod Touch. If this comes to Facebook, I may finally allow myself to play a Facebook game again.
But I try to stay away. FB games are soooo addictive.
angry birds needs to come to XBLA
Better than Farmville.
I would really like to see it come to XBLA, complete with achievements. (:
Okay, i get the angry birds part, but what's a Facebook?
Hmm.. I'm down. Just one more distraction to keep me busy when bored at work.
Angry birds is coming to Xbox live on windows phone7 with achievements that is better if you ask me
angry bird wont be happy until it takes over the world
I'd play this over Farmville anyday.
im not really surprised. angry birds is the king of casual gaming, and facebook has become something of a platform for that type of gaming. its similar to the port of robot unicorn attack to fb, which, in my opinion, is infinitely better than angry birds.
When I saw the headline my first thought was "OF COURSE IT IS". Freaking hell, just knock it off already mobile game developers. You can only ride your games coat tails for so long before you drive it into the ground. Sheesh.
