  • There was a big story in my local newspaper about Red Dead Redemption earlier this week, and at first I was thinking "A bit too late now," but then I realized why they were running the story. Congrats to Rockstar San Diego. You do our city proud!

  • About what I figured. Red Dead deserves the praise it got. Fantastic game. I wish God of War 3 would've won something, but that's ok. It's a fantastic game, but I can see why Read Dead was picked over it in some of those categories.

  • hate the wii just saying oh and mass effect 2 was the game of the year not even close played them both got 100% on red dead so cant say i didnt play it. plus th multi is a bad gow shooter. auto aim in multi how retarded was that
  • Kinda wish they would port Red Dead Redemption to PC so I can see its coolness :b
  • Congratulations to Rockstar San Diego they deserved it. Red Dead was one of the most fun games I've ever played. Everything about it was great, the only thing I thought was overkill was the undead edition but thats fine I played that to and it was still amazingly fun.

  • No surprises other than handheld : /
  • Really? Red Dead Redemption? I know everyone likes jumping on the Rockstar bandwagon but REALLY?

Red Dead Redemption wins in best technology? What the pop in textures, grass, and objects is good technology? Sorry, I felt the game was garbage.

Mass Effect 2 or God of War 3 both had much better technology behind it.

As for the audio portion of the awards - where was Amnesia: The Dark Descent? These types of games don't deserve to be recognized, but a gimmicky game like Limbo does?
  • ok bad company 2 definetly deserved to win best audio
  • i personally thought RED DEAD REDEMPTION

  • Woo Red Dead Redemption cleaning up. Tons of good games on that list though, many others were very deserving. Red Dead is incredible though and deserves every award it wins.

  • Minecraft and Red Dead FTW!!!
  • Looks like Red Dead made out like a bandit. (pun intended)
  • Ummm, am is it odd for Costume Quest to be nominated for best writing?
  • I don't know how Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker or God of War: Ghost of Sparta didn't win best handheld game. That's bullsh*t!
  • Everything is satisfactory to me.  I probably would have wanted Markus Persson to get an award or honorable mention, because, yes he's that great.  But other than that, very agreeable.  I'm curious as to whether there will be a GOTY eddition of RDR coming from all of this.

  • limbo should not have gotten best visuals. other than that the other awards are perfect
  • Yes red dead totally deserved all of those it is smack down my fav game ever!

  • Read Dead Redemption was a great game. However, Mass Effect should have gotten more awards in my opinion. Personally I thought they were both at the same level in quality and story.
