Devil May Cry's Dante Coming To a Movie Theater Near You
Capcom's favorite demon hunter Dante, is coming to the big screen thanks to Screen Gems, who has just bought the film rights to Capcom's Devil May Cry.
Movie paper Variety reports that Kyle Ward, who is also working on a Kane & Lynch movie script according to imdb.com, has been assigned to write the movie. Screen Gems hopes that a Devil May Cry movie series can follow in the footsteps of fellow action game/movie crossover Resident Evil.
The movie is obviously still very early in development, so it'll be interesting to see who the director ends up being and which Dante – classic or new, Ninja Theory-developed emo Dante – is used. Surely some suit at Screen Gems with a 14-year-old daughter is going to choose emo Dante.
