OnLive Homefront Pre-Order Offers System & Metro 2033

THQ and streaming video game service OnLive are teaming up to bring OnLive gamers a couple of deals.

OnLive members who pre-order THQ's Homefront (which is coming out for the service day-and-date with the retail release on March 15) between now and March 14 get a free OnLive game system (while supplies last; valued at $99) as well as free and immediate access to THQ's Metro 2033 (shown) over the service.

Both Metro 2033 and the OnLive game system will be fulfilled via promo codes, and the system itself will also incur additional shipping charges and applicable taxes.

Sign up and get more details at the OnLive website.

  • So just for preodering a $60 game, you also get a free system as well as another game? sick!
  • desperate much? anyone know how many subscribers they have?
  • Very tempting.  Nice work THQ.

  • Does anyone know if you can use the OnLive controller with your PC & how well it controls?
  • *** what a deal o.0 even if the game is crap, you get a system and another good game for 60$? how much is onlive sub again?
  • So you can be an OnLive subscriber without having the system? I mean I've paid a bit of attention to OnLive, but I guess I missed that bit of explanation. Maybe a little more thorough description here.
  • with onlive how do u play online. Steam? PSN? Live?
  • I was thinking of picking up a new copy of Metro 2033 and leaving it sealed, since it didn't sell too well it might be worth something someday.
  • Wow, that's one heck of a deal!

  • So what kind of console is this? Does it play normal games like call of duty or something
  • Onlive is pretty cool. they have some good games but the graphics aren't to par to the consoles. But it is still cool.
  • That's quite a deal. Not really for me though. Just give me Homefront, please. Now?

  • Sounds a bit like desperation to me. But thats a good deal.
  • I'll have to look into this...

  • A terrific deal, but it comes way too late for folks like me who already own 2033, and have already paid off Homefront.
  • A free game system?  Stinks of despiration.

  • Man this is a killer deal but unfortunately my crappy internet connection is to slow to run onlive I'm a member of there service but I can't play any of there games which sux so preordering this game for onlive would be pointless for me as would the console but man if may internet was fast enough I would be all over this.
  • OnLive?  No thanks.

  • Steam pre-orders of Homefront gets you Metro 2033...where is the article about that? *** you gameinformer
  • Can someone explain what OnLive is? And what this preorder means? Is it like Steam?
