[UPDATE]: We've just received word that the LBP 2 community adventure Hansel & Gretelbot, which spans seven impressive user-made levels, is out now. So what are you waiting for? Try it out and tell us if you like it in the comments section, or keep reading to check out a trailer for this ambitious project.

[ORIGINAL STORY]: Fans of polished, creative, user-made LittleBigPlanet 2 levels are in for a real treat. A dozen of the most talented LBP 2 users have combined their efforts to bring you Hansel & Gretelbot, an adventure that spans seven unique levels.

Check out the trailer below to get psyched for the whimsical action, which appears to contain its fair share of platforming, with some shooter sections to boot. PlayStation Blog says the game is close to being ready, so keep your eyes peeled.

Very freakin' cool. I don't recall this sort of project happening for LBP1, but it totally should've. Awesome to see. I sincerely hope to see more self contained games, created by teams of creators, pop up in LBP2 over time. That is so cool.
