The lights are on
Battlefield 3 is in good hands. Lars Gustavsson has been with the series since its inception, and after serving as the creative director for several titles he's jumping back into the fray as Battlefield 3's lead multiplayer designer. We sat down and spoke with him about his love for, and the philosophy behind, the development of the Battlefield series. Watch the first video to hear Gustavsson talk about DICE's team structure for Battlefield 3, as well as how he got his start in the industry.
Check out the video below to hear Gustavsson reminisce about the history of Battlefield and reveal how DICE's passion and organization keeps the series from getting stale.

He means what he's saying. BFBC2 was very well supported.
I still play BFBC2 and have all the expansions for it i can not wait for this game to come out i will be playing way more than any Call of Duty game out at that moment probably!
only thing i feel they should add to battlefield 3 is allow for multiplayer to have a lobby, other than that, the game is perfect
Can't wait for his game! I'm so tired of the crap that activisin has been peddling the masses. We need realism, exploding walls and vehicles. Time for Battlefield to take back what is rightfully its! Of course the people will speak with their wallets.
Not usually into war games, but this one looks good.
I love the battlefield series. Battlefield 2 has to be my favorite multiplayer shooter of all time. I have never had an equivalent of the commander role as I did in Battlefield 2. The strategy involved made the game something completely different. I loved managing my whole team and using all of my resources, weather it be UAV, mortar strikes, the players, or just me zooming in and finding individual people, that element is what elevated the game into "Best ever" status.
i'm with Wraith31337 on this one DICE and Battlefield or going to knock Cod of that number one spot.
From what I've seen, the studios that are on top and most successful are where they are at because they love what they do. Dice, Blizzard, Bethesda, Bioware.. all of these studios make great games and they all seem to truly love what they do. Keep rocking Dice, because we all love what you do as well!
Is it just me or does he look alot like Gordon Freeman?
Rock on DICE I know you wont fail us!
