No Doubt Legal Action Against Activision Continues

by Bryan Vore on Feb 18, 2011 at 07:38 AM

Remember when the band No Doubt appeared in Band Hero and they were not happy with how they were portrayed? They filed suit in 2009 and the case is still moving forward.

No Doubt sued due to the use of their likenesses in songs they didn't write, claiming breach of contract and that the game "transformed No Doubt band members into a virtual karaoke circus act."

According to the L.A. Times, the federal district court of appeals rejected Activision's motion to throw out No Doubt's suit on Tuesday. This clears the road for further legal action. Activision's original motion to throw out the suit was rejected in April before this most recent appeal supported the decision.
