Starbreeze To Begin Using Unreal Engine 3

by Tim Turi on Feb 17, 2011 at 08:48 AM

Starbreeze, the studio behind Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena and The Darkness, just signed an important deal with Epic Games. The company is now set up for a multi-year contract to use Unreal Engine 3 to develop future games.

"We evaluated several game engines in the market and came to the conclusion that Unreal Engine 3 is the solution that best fits our needs," said CEO of Starbreeze Studios, Johan Kristiansson. "We were particularly impressed by the tool chain, which facilitates rapid iteration and high productivity for our team."

We can't wait to see what Starbreeze does with the industry standard tech.
