The lights are on
Ah, finally a video games that my fellow English majors and I can get behind. We all know that video games rot your mind, but how about games based on classic literature?
Over at the Great Gatsby Game website, some talented soul has posted a Flash game supposedly ripped from a real life NES cartridge found "at a yard sale." While this Great Gatsby game based on the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald is sadly not actually from the NES-era, it is awesome.
Go play it and enjoy the wonderful retro art style and gameplay that some mysterious designer has thrown together. Here's hoping that whoever created this is hard at work on other retro titles based off of literature. Super Pride and Prejudice, anyone?
Seriously, though, this feels like a more respectful adaptation than Dante's Inferno. What's up with that?
This is amazing. The only book I read all the way through in AP Eng Comp XD
I remember reading this book for school. Man, it was hard, but it was good.
When I read the title I assumed the game would involve assassinating people with your hidden wrist scythe from inside the GATSBY machine. Boy am I disappointed.
Cool i got to check this out!!
I just beat it. This was a pretty kick ass game. When I was in the sewer I just imagined Megaman. Some of the music had a little bit of Megaman feel. It was a fun game.
Its actually pretty fun
What next a game based off the Raven, actually that would be awesome=p
Twas a fun game old sport.
i'm not use to these controls sorry
The Eyes of T.J. Eckleburg? This has to be an awesome game. Does it have the Valley of the Ashes? How about Tom Buchanan, the polo player? (haha Gatsby joke!)
lol too short
English majors, rejoice!
Nice first sentence
I like it, it seems like it could be based off of......?
