PSN Content Doesn't Transfer To Xperia Play
Sony Ericsson's new Xperia Play smart phone may be supported by PlayStation games, but that doesn't mean that existing fans will have a leg up if they buy the phone.
GameSpot talked to Nathan Vautier, managing director of Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland, who admitted that any content previously purchased through the PSN store will have to be re-bought for the phone. "[Xperia Play owners] will have to re-purchase games, so it's not totally integrated."
One of the advantages of the Android-based phone is its ability to play PlayStation titles, and the phone will launch in March with 50 games available. Sony is already teasing that the device will come installed with a "legendary PSone title."
