The lights are on
In some bad news for gamers who loved the free-running of Mirror's Edge, Electronic Arts has apparently halted development of the sequel from Battlefield 3 developer DICE.
While Mirror's Edge 2 was never officially unveiled, EA CEO John Riccitiello has talked about the company's philosophy when it comes to the sequel. That talk may amount to nothing; according to a report press2play.tv (as translated by Eurogamer), "The project has been stopped - involved parties at DICE are working on something else now."We know that the "something else" is Battlefield 3, but it's still sad that work on Mirror's Edge 2 isn't moving forward. That's not to say that we'll never see a sequel, but EA's lack of enthusiasm surely isn't a good sign.

No! I loved the first installment in this franchise (I've been through the game at least 9 times since its release), and I really want this sequel to see the light of day!
Though I never played the first, it looked like an interesting first person platformer. It's sad to see the possibilty of a sexond cancelled before it even truly began. They could have created alot of creative platforming.
The first game was original and fun. I really hope they release a sequel.
mirrors edge 2 please!!!!! BTW fix the story because th characters in the first game were shallow and non-believable.
Even though I greatly enjoyed it, cannot say this affects me now as I had no idea it was even being made. I thought it was pretty clear before that they weren't going to. And now all of a sudden, it was? Because of some vague Riccitiello comments? I call BS.
Come on!!!!! I loved Mirror's Edge. Sure it had it's technical flaws, but it was a fantastically executed concept that was just so fun to play. I want another one so bad.
what? seriously, faith needs a come back
noooooooooooo, ive been waiting for mirror's edge 2 for so long
Don't blame EA, blame people who complain about there not being any original games but then not supporting the few ones that hit the market.
This is literally my favorite game of all time. Perfect.
Well as we can see Ea cares about the cash instead of putting something that was good for thos sick of something and wanted something new
Mirrors Edge was a great concept that showed success for the first one and the 2nd could only grow on that formula
I hope to see another mirrors edge one day
Looks like I need to play the first one.
