Play Dead Space 2 With The Developers And Unlock New Suits

How well do you play with others? If you’re looking to test your gaming skills against the experts who make the games, you might want to check out EA’s community event this weekend. Gamers will get to play Dead Space 2 with members of Visceral’s development team.

It sounds like this is a PSN only event (sorry Xbox 360 owners), but those interested in participating should RSVP on Dead Space’s Facebook page, and then hope online on Saturday, February 12th at 3pm PST.

The developers will be wearing two all-new viral suits: White Tiger Stripe and Viral Blue. Those who manage to kill a developer will unlock the suit for themselves. After that anyone who kills a person wearing one of these new suits will also unlock it.

According to Sony’s blog, the team throws together impromptu game sessions from time to time, so if you’re interested in keeping up to date with those events you might want to follow Dead Space 2's executive producer Steve Papoutsis (aka Leveluptime) on twitter.

    This is for 360 as well. There was a listing about it under the Community tab of the XBL dashboard. Unfortunately, I'm not home this weekend, so I'll miss it either way

    Can't wait!! I love this game. I'm making my run at Hardcore mode tonight, I think I can make it to chapter 8 without saving the game. Since I made it all the way to chapter 12 on Zealot before getting disemboweled.

    I think I have all the ingame suits. I've already beat the game a couple times. Got all my guns updated!!!!!!!

    I enjoy viral unlocks like this... I might hop online, but if I don't I'll probably get the suit soon enough.

    Dead Space 2 has a really great single player campaign (need to start my second playthrough sometime) but I found the multiplayer to be a really lackluster experience.  Just my opinion though.

    Still cool on Visceral's part though.
