New Album To Feature Music Inspired By Mortal Kombat

by Matt Helgeson on Feb 11, 2011 at 12:15 PM

Producer JFK (of MSTRKRFT and Death from Above 1979) has joined forces with WaterTower Music and Teenage Riot Records to bring out Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors. The songs were done by some prominent electronic musicians including MSTRKRFT, Tokimonsta, Harvard Bass and Congorock.

Three songs from the album, which releases on April 5, are already available for purchase on iTunes: "Mileena's Theme" by Tokimonsta, "Helado (Sub-Zero's Theme)" by Harvard Bass, and "Liu Kang's Theme" by Congorock. Click the links to purchase.

The album is definitely sticking to a hard techno vibe, as evidenced by "Liu Kang's Theme" by Congorock.
