The lights are on
UPDATE: The Sixth Axis is reporting that the original comments from Jeux Video regarding the changes to I Am Alive were apparently a joke, as explained by Jeux Video themselves. I'm not entirely sure what's funny about it, but then I've never really understood French people. Curiously, Ubisoft remains without comment or clarification on what's going on with I Am Alive.
ORIGINAL STORY: Remember I Am Alive, the survival action game announced by Ubisoft in 2009? Yeah, I barely do either. Ubisoft has been quiet on this interesting title for a long time, but some interesting new details have surfaced from a French interview.
French site Jeux Video has posted an interview with Ubisoft's Jade Raymond in which she reveals that the game is coming out in 2011. It has also apparently made the switch from a retail release to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
So is this news for real? I contacted Ubisoft, but received a standard reply:
"We have not officially announced anything regarding the launch date or platforms for I Am Alive. We have nothing to announce at this time."
We'll keep you updated as soon as we hear more about how and when you'll be accessing a virtual, earthquake-ravaged Chicago.
I thought the title was ambitious when I heard it and cannot imagine it being just a download game. Unless the title turns out like Siren Blood Curse.
This can't be a downloadble title. There's so much potential, Ubisoft would be throwing money away practically if they didn't release it at retail.
I want to get this game, but I don't really want to have to download it.
I hope its a retail game.
I want to walk in my earthquake-ravaged hometown in a disc, not DL.
yea i was actually really interested in this game when it was first announced. but with all games i fell i need to see some kind of trailer or gameplay to make say im officially looking foreward to it.
Wow. I completely forgot about this game, but I recall being interested when it was announced so I'll keep an eye out for it.
I was actually really excited about this game, I hope this is true. I wouldn't pay $60 for it, but I'll pay 1200 MSP in a heartbeat.
I'VE BEEN WAITING ON THIS GAME FOR EVER!
I was wondering what happened to this game.
Very Strange, I was thinking of what happen to this game.
i was really looking forward to this, it's a cool concept. the news that its probably a XBLA or PSN title is kinda a bummer
Every time I hear about this game I get exited. And then that excitement dies when I forget about this title because no news has been released. I do hope though that is a full retail game and not an arcade game.
*** I've been excited for this game when it was first announced, and now its gonna be downloadable. It better not suck Ubi soft.
