The lights are on
DICE delivers the first teaser trailer, and we reveal a few must-read details about EA's next big shooter.
Here it is – a buzz clip featuring some blurry images of urban warfare, the promise of a fall release date, and a Trent Reznor-style treatment of the classic Battlefield theme song:
Most of the hard information is being kept under wraps for the cover story, but here's some declassified intel for you: Several standout features that defined Battlefield 2 return to the fold, including 64-player multiplayer on PC, jets, and the ability to go prone. What other features do you hope to see in Battlefield 3?

I hope to see some new game features like something close to titan rounds like 2142 and zip lines god I loved that.
This is going to kill the competition.
YEAH!!!DICE FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Derezzed Battlefield 3!
Trent Reznor!!! Woot, Woot! His songs are in a lot of things lately! Loves it!
Well, that teaser did indeed get me...teased? Eh, I'll say interested. Seeing as I've never played a straight up Battlefield game (played the Bad Company series and 1943), I'm looking forward to the March issue so I can see what all the hype is about.
Yeah, did Reznor actually do the audio mixing for this? Because I was thinking that even before I read the blurb about it.
Honestly i think Bad Company 2 is very underrated. The thrill i get from playing that game is just unreal. Like what other game has you sprinting to revive an ally, with a Russian hind destroying the building you were in, with mortars dropping all around, and tank shells going everywhere? It is just pure adrenaline, and i love it!!!
It looks like they're trying to make this game HUGE. I know EA wants to overthrow CoD...
I really, really hope this game improves so much upon the 2nd one that it overtakes CoD from its throne. It looks like it's going to be pretty incredible.
They weren't kidding, it was just a tease. :(
As some said before, very much "the teaser." Doesn't really let us know much of anything, except to get us curious as to what is coming.
i wish the destruction in the battlefield games were as good as red factions.....
Use Youtube, your video player is balls.
Does anyone remember Joint Ops? They say 64 people online like it is a crazy huge number, but I played Joint Ops (a FPS with vehicles very similar to battlefield) with maps as big as 300 people! It was amazing, it really felt like a war, there was always so much going on. Oh well..
