Enslaved Sells Poorly Worldwide

by Matthew Kato on Feb 03, 2011 at 03:12 AM

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was Namco Bandai's attempt at a triple-A experience, but so far the game has yet to resonate with the game-buying public.

Eurogamer is reporting that according to the company's financial report, Enslaved sold only 460,000 copies worldwide across two platforms (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3).

Despite this lackluster reception, MCV talked to Lee Kirton, Namco Bandai's UK marketing director who didn't dismiss a sequel outright. "I can't discuss where we are in terms of a sequel, but we're looking at reviews and feedback from the press and because of the gameplay and quality that Enslaved delivered, we see it as a great catalog title going forward."

Enslaved developer Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword) is currently working on the new Devil May Cry for Capcom.
