The Steel Curtain Rises Again: Madden Predicts A Steelers Win

by Matthew Kato on Feb 01, 2011 at 02:59 AM

EA Sports has used iterations of Madden to predict past Super Bowl winners, but we here in the GI offices think that out of all of them, this year's take on Sunday's game has the most realistic-sounding ring to it. At least we *** well hope so.

Madden NFL 11 had the Steelers beating the Packers 24-20 in a tight contest that came down to two crucial drives by both teams in the fourth quarter. The Packers took the lead 20-17 with nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter with an Aaron Rodgers pass to James Jones. After trading possessions for most of the fourth quarter, Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger hit Mike Wallace on a 36-yard TD toss with 1:20 to play. Aaron Rodgers tries to mount a comeback, but as he has done numerous times earlier in his career, a crucial interception on the ensuing drive seals the deal for the Steelers.

Check out the video footage of what hopefully might come to pass.
