"Finishing Touches" Being Placed On Skyward Sword

We first heard about the latest entry in The Legend of Zelda series back at E3, and according to Nintendo's investment meeting this week, Skyward Sword is already getting its last bit of polish.

Since the latest Wii entry is getting its "finishing touches" it looks like Skyward Sword is on schedule for a 2011 release. Who else is excited?

  • Me! I'm excited by it's full use of the Wii Motion Plus. Along with another chance to go to Hyrule.
  • Me. This is a first week buy for me. Cartoon graphics be damned
  • We will probably see a release date from now until E3...right GI?
  • Wow, this is the first time I ever payed attention to who was writing articles, and I noticed that Annette just wrote 5 in a row. She is really on top of things.
  • Yes! Anyone else planning a Zelda marathon when the date is announced? Zelda, II, LttP, LA, OoT, MM, & TP GOOOOO!
  • I am sure the game will be good, but there is something about the visuals that throw me off, they are not bad I just don't care for them too much.
  • Please let it come out soon!!!...(and also be awesome!)
  • does anyone still even have a wii anymore?
  • Glad to hear. I hope they show off a new trailer soon.

  • I'm excited! I've been playing Legend of Zelda games since the N64. The games are great, and I can hardly wait to take another adventure into Hyrule!
  • awesome!

  • If this game comes out my head will explode. Mass effect, RAGE, Elder Scrolls and Zelda will consume Mom life.
  • Mod
Excellent news. I'm still betting on a November release as Nintendo's going to want to show the end result at E3. One of my most anticipated games of the year. Plus, the game already looked amazing before, can't wait to see what it'll look like when it's done.
  • Coming from someone who loved the art style of Windwaker, I hate the art style of this one. It looks like a kids game, and does not look like the Zelda I know and love. Even in the videos, it looks so generic. The environments look like just a series of rooms designed to look like outside environments. It does not look like one cohesive world. I can't be sure, I don't have my hands on the game yet. However, in over 20 years this is the first time I have had a real bad feeling about a Zelda game.
  • good news, i just wished it looked like Twilight Princess :/. but i'm still excited. hopefully i won't be disappointed with this one like i was Epic Mickey and Kirby Epic Yarn.
  • I AM, so does this mean summer release?
  • I've pretty much lost all faith in Nintendo and I doubt I'll pick this one up. I love Zelda, but I'm not going to waste money on a game for the Wii when I know it'll end up collecting dust (again) a few days after I beat the game. Sorry Nintendo, but you should have pulled your head out of your ass long ago.
  • MMEEEEEE!!!! I'M EXCITED!!!!!! MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I AMMMM!!!!!! SOOOO, EXCITED!!!!!!

  • LOVE<3

  • Wow this is pretty cool news considering the only info received was at last years e3. Hopefully some new trailers and gameplay videos come out soon!
