Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo Confirmed For PC

The Xbox 360 exclusive Crysis 2 multiplayer demo has gotten off to a rough start, so here's hoping for a smoother experience with the PC demo.

According to Crytek's Twitter account: "At this time, Crytek & EA are glad to confirm that we'll be releasing a pre-launch Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on PC! Stay tuned for details." Still no word on a demo for PS3.

  • I haven't had any problems with the 360 version. Oh well, might try this on the PC as well, considering I can't decide which console to buy it on. That's the problem with having all of the consoles I guess
  • I just finished downloading the demo a few hours ago. I played a couple of games and honestly I am very disappointed with the quality of the Xbox 360 version. Getting a simple game to start took quite a bit of hassle. The game actually froze a couple times on the menu screen. Lag was present in quite a number of games. I recall so many times were I would run up behind a person and melee them only to not get credit for the kill and instantly die. Gameplay itself isn't bad though. The nano-suit powers look interesting and effective enough. From what I played so far the games weapons also seem pretty balanced. The game also looks pretty good. The one map that I played "Skyline" was alright also.
  • Isn't this supposed to be a beta and not really a demo? It is a bit rough but from what i understand it is an older build of the game. My biggest issue with it is the lag but I like the gameplay.

  • Shouldn't this have already been released on PC? The PC has always been Crytek's exclusive platform. Oh well....As long as matchmaking is replaced with a server browser.
  • Haven't had any problems with the 360 version... Anyway, the graphics blew me away on the 360. I can only imagine what the game looks like on PC. It'd probably just rape my eyes.
  • I liked the 360 beta, its just that the melees were a little slow and awkward in my opinion.
  • 360 version wasn't that good, imo
  • Yeah, heard about this yesterday, can't wait. I found the 360 version to actually be pretty decent. Graphics were very good, but the insane amount of pop-up due to the poor draw distance is rather frustrating. Gonna be buying this for PC though.

  • The main problem with the Xbox demo was the fact that it was on a console.
  • Crytek: we are going to deliver a game with the most advanced graphics on any console Me: Really? how comes Halo Reach has better graphics that the crysis(xbox 360) demo ?
  • Good. Crysis was born on the pc. They should get a demo. It felt like a smack to the face to pc users when they said it was exclusive to Xbox. And I have a Xbox.
  • This game is so terrible, well the MP is anyway. Its just a COD clone with bad controlls. I don't even like COD so I know I'm not getting this.
  • BULL CRAP where's the PS3 version? I probably wont buy this on launch cause i wont know how it plays. great job crytek. you lost a customer.
  • The Multiplayer is flawed but fun. Crytek just needs a bit of Quality Control. Most Betas release buggy as hell.
  • cool

  • That's great I guess...PS3 next, please!

  • Well...I finally got to try it. Took minutes to connect and half the time I'm booted because the connection drops. Here's hoping the PC version is better.

  • That's surprising, seeing as I just got done talking to some members on the Crytek team through that game with developers thing they had going on and they told us there wasn't one a PC demo yet as far as they knew.

  • I have to say, the demo for xbox was awesome.

I mean their was some lag and melee was odd, but i just loved the smoothness of changing powers.

ALso had some of the coolest kills ever
