MX vs. ATV Alive Trailer Throws An Elbow

by Matthew Kato on Jan 24, 2011 at 03:58 AM

This stylized new trailer for THQ's upcoming game shows off the title's gritty, physical side.

Motocross and the other disciplines showcased in THQ's MX vs. ATV series require a fair amount of physical force as you try and corral your bike around steep burms, over undulating whoops, and up and down the monstrous jumps. But MX vs. ATV Alive is promising more physicality between the riders themselves. Dubbed the Bar-to-Bar system, the game lets you throw elbows and bang handlebars in an attempt to do whatever it takes to get to the front. Although we doubt this is what the game will actually look like, this trailer at least gives you a taste of what the development team has in mind.

The game is also notable for its $39.99 price point and THQ's promise to back up that lower-than-average price tag with a what calls an ambitious mix of paid and free DLC. What that is, however, is unknown at this time. This is part of the company's new pricing plans for some of its games.
