Konami Takes Over Hudson

by Matthew Kato on Jan 20, 2011 at 02:52 AM

Konami has already owned a majority share of Bomberman developer Hudson for a few years, but now it's making the studio a wholly owned subsidiary by buying up the remaining stock.

Konami took over the company in 2005 with 54% of its stock, but now it's going back for the other 56% via a stock swap. Konami hasn't decided if it's going to keep or shed the Hudson name just yet, but according to reports Konami will use the studio to further its social and mobile gaming aims.
